Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, host of a TV show and performer best known for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from a troubled family. Sheryl was a part of her life caring for her sister Frankie and her polio-infected sister. As a child, her relationship with mother was rocky. Sheryl asserts that, for instance, her mother knifed her father after he became close to her. Sheryl was a college graduate when she was drafted into the military. Her passions were in the field of comedy. She was the first female winner of the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. She began her TV career in 1992 when she appeared as a frequent performer for the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she appeared as host of the television talk show Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started participating in The Talk as co-host. She has played in fictional show like Bulworth Nikki Beauty Shop and others.
