April Ross

April Ross was one of the few female beach volleyball athletes who earned medals during more than one Olympics. Alix klineman, who is taking part for the very first time at the Tokyo Olympics, will try to earn her third gold medal. Ross is also hoping to win her first Olympic medal. There is a chance that it is her last opportunity, given that she is 39 years old. The athlete is optimistic she'll be successful in achieving top honours. Ross was a player for the Trojans at USC during her college years after she graduated high school. The time she spent at USC was an impressive one. She was an All-American as well as Pac-10 freshman of the year in 2000 as a young freshman. The Trojans were also able to reach the Final Four with her help. In her sophomore season, she experienced a terrible personal tragedy, but earned the distinction of being an All-American. In her last two years in the Trojans program, she guided the Trojans to winning a national title each year. As an individual Ross established her status as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the top female college volleyball players across the country. Ross was a USC international relations student was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross never saw her daughter achieve the heights of beach volleyball. Ross's mother died of cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. She is devoted to her parents who passed away. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her at and off the beaches.
